Agnes Pauletta Von Simpson, age 84

Agnes Pauletta Von Simpson, age 84, of Neoga, Illinois, and formerly of Elliottstown, Illinois, passed away at 5:25 PM - Monday, December 11, 2017, at Heartland Christian Village in Neoga, Illinois.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM – Friday, December 15, 2017, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois, with David McConnell officiating.  Burial will be in the Trexler Cemetery in rural Newton, Illinois.  Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service at the funeral home.  In loving memory of Agnes, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

Agnes was born on September 19, 1933, in Jasper County, Illinois, the daughter of Marion Filmore and Anna F. (Clagg) Rawlings.  She married Floyd Gephart in 1950, and to this union where born four children, Roger, Don, Darla and Alan.  She later married Foster Soliday and he preceded her in death in 2000.  She married Roy Simpson on June 19, 2001, and he preceded her in death on April 13, 2017.

Agnes had worked at St. Anthony's Hospital and Heartland Christian Village.  She was a member of the First Christian Church in Effingham.

Agnes enjoyed crocheting and embroidering.

Children – Roger (Ronda) Gephart of Tunnel Hill, Illinois; Don (Doris) Gephart of Elliottstown, Illinois; Darla (Scott) Otto of Wakefield, Kansas and Alan "Flip" (Paula) Gephart of Brownstown, Illinois.

Agnes was preceded in death by her parents, husbands, brothers Ky and Robert Rawlings and a sister Rowena Ebling.
