Bert was born on March 26, 1936, in Ashland City, Tennessee, the daughter of Burton and Hattie (Binkley) Chambliss, she married the love of her life, Arthur Leo Bruner on October 5, 1960, and he preceded her in death on July 16, 1992.
Bert and her husband owned and operated Bruner's auction service and Bruner's Cafe in Willow Hill, Illinois. She loved to cook and feed her family, and if you left her house hungry it was your own fault. She had also worked at Jakes Smorgasbord in Oblong, Illinois. Bert was an avid gardener, enjoyed NASCAR, antiques and especially going to and helping at auctions. After moving to Olney, one would often see her helping her son at Eric's Auction Service. She would also spend time working and helping at the Olney Senior Citizens Center.
Bert is survived by:
Children, Tammara Dillard of Columbia, Tennessee
Eric Bruner of Olney, Illinois
Arthur J. Bruner of Creve Coeur, Illinois
