Alfred James Bricker, age 88, of Olney, passed away at 3:30 AM, on Friday, January 23rd, 2015 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

Visitation will be on Monday, January 26th from 10:30-11:30 AM in the Chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will follow at 11:30 AM in the Chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery in Calhoun. High Priest Tim Dunahee of the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints will be officiating along with Richland County Veterans Organization.

Alfred was born on November 5th, 1926, in Parkersburg, Illinois, the son of Loren and Vecie (Smith) Bricker. He later married Bonnie (Reynolds) Bricker on February 17th, 1950 in Olney. She survives.

He was a World War 2 Navy veteran. He was a lifetime member of the Olney VFW and was active for 66 years. He was a Pest Control owner and owned Bricker Service Supply. He was a member of the Methodist Church in Calhoun.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Bonnie Bricker of Calhoun; 2 sons, David Bricker and companion Candy Foster, of Parkersburg and Perry Bricker and companion Tracy Hayes, of Calhoun; daughter Pam Ledeker and husband Leo, of Parkersburg; 2 brothers, Gerald Bricker and wife Sharon of Hutsonville and Gary Bricker and wife Linda of California; 2 sisters, Joan Postlewait and husband Keith of Willow Hill and Ruth Clemen of California; granddaughters Krista Mitchell and Misty Hicks and great-granddaughters Amelia Mitchell, Madison Hicks and Siera Armstrong.

He was preceded in death by his parents Loren and Vecie Bricker, infant son, Alfred James Bricker Jr., 4 brothers, O'Neal, Harvey, Bert and Perry Bricker, 2 sisters Blanche Bishel and Lorene Greenwell.
