Amiel Franklin Goins, age 40, of Rosiclare, Illinois passed away on Sunday, January 3, 2016, at Hardin County General Hospital in Rosiclare, Illinois.
Celebration of life services for Franklin will held at 2:00 PM – Saturday, January 23, 2016, at the First Christian Church in Rosiclare, Illinois with Pastor Tommy Dutton officiating. A meal will follow the services. Private family burial will be in the Stone Church Cemetery in rural Rosiclare, Illinois at a later date. In loving memory of Franklin, memorials may be made to the family. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois. Franklin was born on September 8, 1975, in Paducah, Kentucky the son of Glenda Kay (Sheldon) and Eschol Goins.
Franklin attended Hardin County K-12 School in Elizabethtown, Illinois and was a member of the class of 1994.
Franklin was a hard worker and most recently was an employee of the City of Rosiclare, Illinois where he worked with his best friend Billy Moore.
Franklin enjoyed fishing, hunting, reading and quoting scripture from the Bible, spending time with his family and friends.

Parents – Glenda Kay Mitchell of Rosiclare, Illinois and Eschol (Amanda) Goins of Eldorado, Illinois
Children - Colton Goins, Kayla Goins and Courtney Hobbs all of Harrisburg, Illinois
Step Children - Cassie Jackson, Shaylyn Stover, Jonathan Stover, and Dyllon McCarley
Sisters - Venus Day (David Lane) of Cave-in-Rock, Illinois and Penny (David) Peek of Harrisburg, Illinois
Brother - Gary Taylor of Rosiclare, Illinois
Several grandchildren
Several nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins
Love of his life - Larrin (Humm) Vinyard of Rosiclare, Illinois and her son David Vinyard.
Franklin was preceded in death by his brother Billy Goins on October 16, 2010; maternal grandparents Bert and Katherine Sheldon; paternal grandparents Amiel and Belva Goins and a granddaughter Suzannah Marie.
