Barbara Faye Fasig, age 78

Of Greenup, Illinois passed away at 9:43 AM - Thursday, October 30, 2014 at St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Private family services will be held. Arrangements are in the care of the Meyer Funeral Home

(Formerly Bishop Funeral Home) in Greenup, Illinois.

Barbara was born on September 15, 1936 in Charleston, Illinois the daughter of Allen and Bertha (Matheny) Hayes. She married John I Fasig, Sr. on February 16, 1955. She worked for many years at Brown Shoe Factory in Charleston, Illinois and worked as a housekeeper. Barbara enjoyed being outdoors fishing, ginseng and mushroom hunting.

She loved her kids and grandkids.
