Bertha Alice May, age 103 of Olney, passed away at 1:00 PM, on Friday, May 23rd, 2014 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

Visitation will be Monday, May 26th, 2014 from 5-7 PM in the chapel of Stasi-Grove Funeral Home. Funeral service will be Tuesday, May 27th, 2014 at West Decatur Church of God in Decatur, Illinois at 12 (Noon). Guests may arrive an hour before the service. Burial will be in North Fork Cemetery in Long Creek Township, Decatur, IL. Reverend Rick May will be officiating.

She was born on March 30th, 1911 the daughter of Joseph and Bertha Elma (Hissong) Williams. She later married Oscar May on September 6, 1930 in Decatur, Illinois. He preceded her in death.

Bertha was a press operator for Grigoleit Company in Decatur for many years. After moving to Olney, she became a member of the Olney Church of the Nazarene. She was a soul winner for the Lord and helped start many churches with her husband Oscar. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, sewing and being a seamstress. She was an organist and played for many church revivals. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

She is survived by her 3 sons, Albert R. "Bud� May of Dundas, Sheldon "Corky� May, and his wife Betty of Port Orange, Florida and Roger May, and his wife Darlene of Dundas; 13 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and 27 great-great grandchildren.

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband Oscar May; parents Joseph and Bertha Williams; son Jack May; and infant daughter Shirley May.
