Betty J. Lynch, age 88, of Olney, Illinois, passed away at 11:20 PM, Monday, November 6, 2023, at Helia Health Care in Olney, Illinois.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM , Sunday, November 19, 2023, at the Moravian Cemetery in West Salem, Illinois, 62476.   Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois.

Betty was born September 8, 1935, in Edwards County, Illinois, the daughter of Vernon and Lucille (Brock) Johnson. Betty married Harold G. Lynch on September 13, 1953, and he preceded her in death on August 8, 1988.

Betty worked for many years and retired from Champion Laboratories in Albion, Illinois. Betty loved baseball and was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan for many years. She loved to watch Western Movies and old Western TV shows.

Betty is survived by her son, Thomas (Kathy) Lynch of Clay City, Illinois: daughter, Kathy (Bill) Sawyer of Hurst Texas; six Grandchildren, two Step-Grandchildren, and four Great-Grandchildren; sister, Laverne Jones of Olney, Illinois.

Betty is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harold, son James Lynch, brother Vernon Jr.,
and sister and Deb Johnson.
