Betty G. Tipton, age 88

July 6, 1930 – November 1, 2018

Betty G. Tipton, age 88, formerly of Newton and Dundas, Illinois, passed away at 5:50 AM – Thursday, November 1, 2018, at the Dyer Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Dyer, Indiana.

Graveside services will be held at 2 PM – Saturday, November 3, 2018, at the Dundas Cemetery in Dundas, Illinois.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com .

Betty was born on July 6, 1930, in Estillfork, Alabama, the daughter of Charles Coleman Anderson and Amanda Ella (Bishop) Anderson.  She married Joe Tipton on October 10, 1964, and he preceded her in death on July 13, 1997.

Betty worked at AMF in Hammond, Indiana and Olney, Illinois, and retired after many years of service.

Betty was a member of Faith Bible Church north of Olney, Illinois.

Betty is survived by:

Nephew – Robert (Carol) Borowski

Niece – Cindy (Jeff) Ippolito

Several other nieces and nephews also survive

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Robert Anderson and a sister Merle Borowski.
