Betty Jo (Wilson) Brown, 61, of Olney, passed away at 9:28 PM on Thursday, March 25, 2021 at her residence.

Funeral service will be at 12 PM (NOON) on Saturday, April 3, 2021 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Visitation will be 2 hours prior to service time. Burial will be at Greenhill Cemetery in rural Richland County.

Betty was born in July 5, 1959, in Olney, the daughter of James W. and Freida (Thomas) Wilson. She later married George Charlie Brown on July 10, 1976 in Olney. He survives.

She was a housewife for many years. She was a member of the Rolling Thunder Illinois Chapter 3 with her husband. She enjoyed going fishing and camping, playing cards, riding motorcycles and spending time with her family and grandchildren.

Betty is survived by her husband Charlie Brown of Olney; 2 sons Jay Brown (Kacie) of Olney and Michael Brown (Katlynn) of Parkersburg; daughter Jennifer Walker (Dustin) of West Liberty; 2 brothers Jim Wilson (Sheri) of Newton and Jimmy Wilson of Claremont; 5 sisters Bobbi Comer (Bryon) of Noble, Donna Ryals of Sheboygan, WI, Kathy Poland of Olney, Sheila Bell (Jeff) of Olney and Sandy Jackson (companion Dave) of Claremont; 6 grandchildren Gavin, Emma, Gary Brown (Rachel), Mason, Skyler, and Kymber; 4 great-grandchildren Brooke, Jase, Bennett and Marley; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents James and Freida Wilson, mother-in-law Maxine Brown, 2 brothers-in-law John Ryals and Lonnie Poland, niece Mandy Wilson, grandparents, and several aunts and uncles.
