After a 5 year battle with cancer, Brenda Kay (Workman) Gosnell, 68 of Olney, passed away at 9:25 AM on Monday, October 18, 2021 at her residence surrounded by her close loved ones.
Visitation will be from 11 AM – 1 PM on Thursday, October 21, 2021 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Funeral service will be at 1 PM on Thursday, October 21, 2021 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hollister Cemetery south of Lawrenceville. Pastor Chris Jennette will be officiating.
Brenda was born on August 23, 1953 in Lawrenceville the daughter of Charles and Evelyn (Snyder) Workman. She married Dean Gosnell on April 8, 1977 at Southern Baptist Church in Olney. He survives.
She worked as a bus driver for Head Start in Olney. She enjoyed fishing and spending lots of time with her grandchildren. She was loved by many people and touched many lives during her life.
Brenda is survived by her husband of 44 years Dean Gosnell of Olney; children Susan Myers (Rich) of Olney, Steven Workman (Becky) of Vincennes, Shelly Turley of Calhoun, Debra Hardig (Leo) of Oblong, and Misty Scherer (Scott) of Olney; grandchildren Joshua Longbons, Kayla Harmon (Matt), Haley Ochs (Lucas), Erika Workman, Anthony Rudolphi, Kimberly Bower, T.J. Turley (Bethany), Angel Neff (Doug), Camaron Mason, Colten Stacey, Gage Williams, Aiden Hardig, Jonah and Sydney Scherer; step-sons Anthony Gosnell Sr., James Gosnell, and Kevin Gosnell; siblings Ron Workman and James Workman (Debbie); and sisters-in-law Debbie Skinner (Ken) and Eva Sparks (Rick).
She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Evelyn Workman, brothers Charles and Gary Workman, sisters Virginia Workman and Mary Bogard, and grandson Caleb Michael Mason.
Memorials can be sent to the funeral home to help pay for final expenses in memory of Brenda Kay (Workman) Gosnell.
