Carl Richard Fulk, age 71, of Noble passed away peacefully in his home with sister Lori by his side on May 17, 2018.

Richard was born in Olney the son of Carl M. and Erma V. (Jackson) Fulk on March 1, 1947. He was drafted into the Army on June 19th, 1969. He completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He arrived in Vietnam on November 15, 1969 and served 11 months 15 days in combat. He was assigned to Company B, 2nd Battalion of the 25th Infantry Division's 14th Infantry.

While in Vietnam he earned the Bronze Star with Valor on February 10th, 1970 for Heroism in Ground Combat. He earned his First Oak Leaf Cluster for Heroism on May 10th, 1970. He was awarded the Army Commendation Medal on May 26th, 1970 for Meritorious Achievement in The Republic of Vietnam. He received his Honorable Discharge on June 1st, 1975 with the ending rank of SP4, and returned to the Richland County area.

In the years after his service, Carl worked as an oilfield hand and cabinet maker. He enjoyed time spent with family and friends, camping, fishing, and outdoor life. Carl was a lover of all animals, but especially fond of his mule 'Henry' and his many cats.

Carl is survived by his mother Erma V. (Jackson) Fulk of Olney; 2 brothers Ronnie W. Fulk and wife Brenda of Noble and Jeffrey A. Fulk of Noble; 2 sisters Janice A. Harmon and husband Jim of Noble and Lori A. Kater and husband William (Bill) of Olney; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is proceeded in death by his father Carl M. Fulk of Noble, and his brother Roy M Fulk of Noble.

Grave side services will be held at Hanna Cemetery in Noble at 2 PM on Sunday, May 27th, 2018. Bob Totten will be officiating. Full Military Rites will be provided by the Richland County Veteran's Organization.
