Carolyn Mae Piercefield, age 78

February 21, 1946 – October 26, 2024

Carolyn Mae Piercefield, age 78, of Newton, Illinois, and formerly of Olney, Illinois, passed away at 3:30 AM – Saturday, October 26, 2024, at the home of her daughter.

Funeral service celebrating Carolyn's life will be held at 11:00 AM – Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  The burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois.  A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10:00 AM until service time.  In loving memory of Carolyn, memorials may be made to Saved by Grace Animal Rescue.  The obituary can be viewed, and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com.

Carolyn was born on February 21, 1946, in Newton, Illinois, the daughter of Thelma Osbourn.  She married Joseph Piercefield on October 10, 1964, and he preceded her in death on December 28, 2002.

Carolyn was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a member of the Emmauel Methodist Church in Olney.

Carolyn enjoyed mushroom hunting and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Daughter – Janette Henby of Newton, Illinois

Grandchildren – Brandon (wife) Katie Stanley of Noble, Illinois; Brooke (husband Barrett) Hill of Olney, Illinois; and Bree (husband Brett) Bosel of Sainte Marie, Illinois

Great Grandchildren – Abigail Stanley, Harper Stanley, Tucker Stanley, Briar Hill, Bradlie Hill, Brix Hill, Aria Bosel, Cade Bosel, and Sunnie Bosel

Sister – Sue Wilson of Olney, Illinois

Son-in-law – Ron Stanley of Olney, Illinois

Carolyn was preceded in death by her mother, husband, siblings Randall Wilson, Bob Lewis, Sandy Lowe, Bill Benefield and Rick Benefield.
