Carolyn Jean (Wimberly) Worrell, age 71, of Olney, passed away at 7:38 PM on Saturday, May 23, 2020 at her residence in Olney.

Celebration of Life service is being set for a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded. Thrasher Family Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Carolyn was born on July 10, 1948 in Lawrenceville, the daughter of Paul and Marie (Volkman) Wimberly. She later married Richard Worrell in August 1986 in Las Vegas. He survives.

She was a homemaker. She enjoyed going to garage sales and shopping especially at antique stores. She also enjoyed going fishing with her husband. She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Carolyn is survived by her husband Richard Worrell of Olney; 2 sons Everett Arnold (Donna) of Sullivan, IN and Michael Arnold of Olney; 2 daughters Irena Patterson of Evansville and Jeannie Davis (Greg) of Evansville; Jack Wimberly (Phyllis) of Lawrenceville; 4 sisters Maryann Powers of Lawrenceville, Diane Kimmel (Mark) of Lawrenceville, Annette Leighty of Lawrenceville, and Loretta Hedge (Don) of Lawrenceville; 3 grandchildren Brittney Daugherty, Ryan Davis and Tyler Davis; 3 great-grandchildren Chloe Sigler, Austin Davis, and Aubrey Davis; and several nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents Paul and Marie Wimberly, granddaughter Laci Jo Daugherty, and 3 brothers Larry, Don, and Paul Wimberly.
