Christine Elizabeth Frichtl, age 83

Christine Elizabeth Frichtl, age 83, of Champaign, Illinois, passed away at 10:50 PM – Tuesday, December 15, 2020, at University Rehabilitation Center of Champaign-Urbana.

A Mass celebrating Christine's life will be held at 11:00 AM - Friday, July 9, 2021, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois.  Visitation will be held 10:00-10:30 AM , prior to the mass.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com .

Christine was born on December 24, 1936, in Newton, Illinois, the daughter of Thomas and Elizabeth "Betty" (Rudolphi) Frichtl.

Christine was a nurse and worked for the State of Illinois Department of Mental Health for 35 years.  She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church in Urbana, Illinois.

Christine enjoyed reading, tennis, gardening, photography, making cheesecakes and was a volunteer for CASA.

Christine is survived by:

Siblings – Thomas (Ann) Frichtl, Urbana, Illinois; John (Jane) Frichtl of Taylors, South Carolina; William Frichtl, Greenville, South Carolina; Paul (Marsha) Frichtl of Springfield, Virginia; Ann Frichtl of Newton, Illinois; Barbara (James) Klein of Marion, Iowa and Patricia Kaus of Chadron, Nebraska.

Christine was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters Jo Ann Frichtl and Mary Frichtl.
