Clarence Eugene "Chub" Weck, age 70

Of Hidalgo, IL passed away at 3:30 AM –Monday, March 10, 2014 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM – Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Pastor Jack Stoops officiating. Burial will be in the Riverside Cemetery in Newton, IL. Visitation will be held 6:00-8:00 PM – Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at the funeral home. In loving memory of Chub, memorials may be made to the St. Anthony's Hospice.

Clarence Eugene better known as "Chub" was born on July 9, 1943 in Paris, IL the son of Grover Eugene "Gene" and Dora Bell (Wilson) Weck. He married Barbara Snider on July 8, 1977 and she survives.
Chub retired after 30 years of service as the manger of the water department for the City of Newton. He enjoyed fishing, yard work, wood working and spending time with his family.

6 Grandchildren

Chub was preceded in death by his parents, brother Jimmy Weck and a sister Patty Weck.
