Clella "Mimi" Rottinghaus, age 101, of Olney, passed away at 3:50 PM on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at United Methodist Village North Campus in Lawrenceville.

Visitation will be from 10-11 AM on Tuesday, March 28, 2017 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Funeral service will be at 11 AM in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont. Pastor Steve Wingert will be officiating.

Mimi was born on March 17, 1916 in Clark County, Illinois, the daughter of Willis and Alka (Frederick) Elliott. She later married Wade Edward Rottinghaus on November 27, 1936. He preceded her in death.

She was a cosmetologist for many years and was a Historian for the Hair Dressers Association. She was a member of the Free Methodist Church in Olney. She was a Sunday school teacher. She was very involved in her church and with her church family. She was an avid St. Louis Cardinals fan and a master at Chinese checkers. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Mimi is survived by her son Thomas Edward Rottinghaus Sr. (Tammy) of Noble; 4 grandchildren, Wade Cleaver Sr. (Becky) of Wooster, Ohio, Melody Hardy (Mike) of Olney, Amy Lydle (Rod) of Olney, Tommy Rottinghaus Jr. of Olney; 11 great-grandchildren, Justin Cleaver, Kelsey Mullett (Gavin), Kallie Weisgarber (Seth), Wade Cleaver Jr. (Rosa), Dylan Herman, Samantha Herman, Kyle Hemrich, Cory Hemrich, Andrew Rottinghaus, Kelcy Rottinghaus, Marissa Rottinghaus; 6 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Wade Edward Rottinghaus, parents Willis and Alka Elliott, daughter Susan Kay Martin, 2 brothers Vincent Don Elliott and Noel Elliott.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Free Methodist Church in memory of Clella Rottinghaus.
