Dale Albert Burgener, age 88 of Olney, passed away at 3:50 PM on Sunday, October 29, 2017 at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital.

Funeral service will be at 11 AM on Friday, November 3, 2017 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home in Olney. Visitation will be one hour before the service. Burial will be at Saron Church of Grand Prairie Cemetery in Dundas. Pastor Zachary Caress will be officiating.

Dale was born on July 22, 1929 in Richland County, the son of Orville and Bertha (Schrey) Burgener. He later married Patricia Berryhill on July 22, 1971 in West Salem. She survives.

He worked at AMF/Roadmaster for many years. He attended Grace Evangelical Church in Olney. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him.

Dale is survived by his wife Patricia Burgener, of Olney; 2 sons, Tom Burgener (Reana) of Monett, Missouri and Jim Kaericher (Dawn) of Claremont; 3 daughters, Brenda Lenear (Jim) of Olney, Glenda Lynch (Leroy) of Olney, and Janet Martin (Larry) of Lerna; niece Carol James (Roger) of Olney; and several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents Orville and Bertha Burgener, daughter Tammie Brown, brother Manferd Burgener and sister-in-law Jean Burgener.
