Dale Ivan Dillier, age 90

April 28, 1929 – November 6, 2019

Dale Ivan Dillier, age 90, of Greenup, Illinois, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2019, at HSHS St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, Illinois.

Graveside services with full military rites will be held at a 10:00 AM – Tuesday, November 12, 2019, at the Greenup Cemetery in Greenup, Illinois, with Pastor Roger James officiating.  In loving memory of Dale, Memorials may be made to the Greenup Township Library.  Arrangements are in the care of Meyer Funeral Home - Bishop Chapel in Greenup, Illinois.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com .

Dale was born on April 28, 1929, in Greenup, Illinois, the son of Harold and Clarice (Thomas) Dillier. He married Norma Dunaway on December 31, 1955, and she preceded him in death June 14, 1964.

Dale enlisted in the United States Air Force during the Korean War.  He was the owner of Cumberland Auto Parts in Greenup, IL for several years.

Dale is survived by his son David (Ann) Dillier of Greenup, Illinois; grandson Bren (Leia) Dillier of Fairbanks Alaska; step grandson Chad (Corrina) Thompson of Indianapolis, Indiana; and step-granddaughter Leslie (Brandon) Wright of Charleston, Illinois and six great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and two sisters, Opal Schmidt and Nellie Shelton.
