Daniel Robert Searle, age 71

Daniel Robert Searle, age 71, of Dieterich, Illinois, passed away at 12:58 AM on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at his home.

A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois. The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com.

Daniel was born on February 27, 1955, in Melrose Park, Illinois, the son of Robert and Elaine (Werner) Searle. He was united in marriage to Patricia Stuerzenberger on April 25, 1979. Daniel and Patricia shared 47 years of love and companionship, building a life centered on family.

Daniel was a proud and caring father to his sons, Thomas Searle and Steven Searle. He was also a loving grandfather to Ella, Ian, Hailey and Holden. He treasured the time he spent with his grandchildren and took great pride in watching them grow and learn.

Daniel worked in the printing industry, retiring from Three Z Printing in Teutopolis, Illinois in 2022. He enjoyed camping, boating and fishing with his family and friends. Lasting memories were created on the water and around the campfire.

Daniel is survived by his wife Patricia Searle; sons, Thomas (Liz) Searle and Steven Searle; and grandchildren, Ella, Ian, Hailey and Holden

He will be fondly remembered by extended family and dear friends.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents and his brother Chris Searle.
