Davey Lynn Wilkerson, age 81, of Olney, Illinois, went to be with her Lord and Savior on March 26, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loved ones. 

Davey was born on September 26, 1944, in Tuscola, Illinois, the daughter of Leonard and Ruby (Rife) Bensken.  She married Larry Wilkerson on May 12, 1990, and he preceded her in death on December 18, 2012. 

Services will be held at 1:00 PM - Tuesday, March 31, 2026, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  A  visitation for family and friends will be held from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the funeral home.  Burial will be held following the service at the Riverside Cemetery in Newton, Illinois.  In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the family to help with expenses.  The obituary can be viewed, and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com. 

Davey was a devout Christian and attended faithfully the First Assembly of God Church in Olney, Illinois. 
Davey worked for many years in the health-care industry in several capacities and facilities. She worked at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Effingham, Illinois in the housekeeping and surgery departments for over 14 years, she worked at Flora Manor for several years as a Hab-Aid helping the handicap and at E.R Moore for several years. Davey loved her family and worked hard to care for them. Her favorite hobby was to spend her free time in Thrift Stores looking for a great bargain. 

Davey is survived by: Children: Diana (Ray) Messerly of Olney, Illinois; Jerry (Mary) Stoops of Edgewood, Illinois; and 
Teresa (Mike) Beehn of Olney, Illinois
 Grandchildren: Coty (Tabbi) Beehn, Kyle Boewe, Bryce (Hannah) Beehn, Shayli Beehn, Kolby Stoops, Chanse Stoops,
 Jeremy (Lauren) Givens, Jason (Kearsten) Givens, Raymond Jr. (Shannon) Messerly, and Shiana (Justin) Brian
 14 great-grandchildren 
Siblings: Leonard Bensken Jr, Sue Wallen, Kathy (Leon) Harris Cheryl (Rod) Kocher, and Gena (Ray) Yager

 Davey was preceded in death by her parents, husband of 22 years Larry, sister Dee-Dee Utley,
 brother Ronnie Bensken and grandson Bradley Cobb.
