Dawn Inez Nix, age 50
Dawn Inez Nix, age 50
of Newton, Illinois passed away at 9:08 PM - Friday, June 26, 2015 at Cumberland Rehab and Health Care Center in Greenup, Illinois.
Graveside services celebrating Dawn's life will be held at 11:00 AM – Friday, July 3, 2015 at the Mound Cemetery in rural Willow Hill, Illinois with Rick Britton officiating. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.
Dawn was born on October 26, 1964 in Glasgow, Kentucky the daughter of Denzel and Molly Ann (Elsperman) Estes.
Dawn was a homecare aide taking care of the elderly and enjoyed her job caring for people which she did for over 15 years
Dawn was a fan of NASCAR and enjoyed traveling to Talladega and watching her favorite driver Kasey Kahne. Most of all she enjoyed spending her time with her granddaughter Brooklyn.
Dawn is survived by:
Twin Daughters – Alyssa Nix (Skyler Acklin) of Wheeler, Illinois
Ashley Nix (Nick Powers) of Newton, Illinois
Granddaughter – Brooklyn McCaslin of Newton, Illinois
Brothers – Bruce Nave, Chris (Lisa) Nave, Jack (Sue) Nave and John Adkins
Sisters – Sherry Sparks and Kandy (Gary) Otto
Dawn was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Terry Nave.
