The obituary is being shared by the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.
Dee Anna (Parr) Lingafelter, born December 9, 1953, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, Wednesday, February 16, 2022.
Dee was a retired early childhood special education teacher for Southeastern Special Education. She spent time assisting and teaching at Limitless School in Newton, Illinois. Dee was also a licensed instructor for Brain Gym and the Rhythmic Movements programs. She was a past district chair for I.E.A., a delegate of N.E.A., and a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Dee loved her pets, was a long-time Zumba instructor, avid scrapbooker and card maker. She enjoyed quilting, spending time and walking with friends, doing Bible studies and spoiling her grandkids.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Pearl Edward and Fern Erwin Parr and her brother, Sam Parr.
She is survived by husband of 50 years, Randy Lingafelter; son, Travis (Terisa) Lingafelter; daughter, Terwrin (Tim) Crippen; son, Tyson (Michelle) Lingafelter; grandchildren, Whitney, Wyatt and Trace Lingafelter and Reagan and Kyden Crippen; great grandson, Wesley Mould; sister-in-law, Marge Parr; nieces and nephews, Chris, Mike, Becky, Eddie, Katie and Jesse; many other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services celebrating Dee's life will be held 11:00 AM, Wednesday, February 23, 2022, at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Foley, Alabama. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.wolfefuneralhomes.com
Interment will follow in Pine Rest Memorial Park, Foley, Alabama.
