Deloris H. Williams

Deloris H. Williams, age 91, peacefully passed on January 24, 2025, in Olney, Illinois.

Funeral Services for Deloris will be held on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at 11:00 AM at Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois. A visitation for friends and family will be from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home. Burial will immediately follow in Haven Hill Memorial Garden Cemetery, Olney, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Stonebridge of Olney Activity Fund.

Deloris was born on March 11, 1933, in West Salem, Illinois, the daughter of Earl and Martha (Whitehead) King.  She married Loren Williams on September 26, 1951, in Toledo, Illinois, and he preceded her in death on June 16, 2013.

Deloris stayed at home to take care of her family until her children were grown. She then went to work at the Garment Factory in Olney then at Trust Bank in Olney for several years as a bank teller.  After she left there, she worked as the secretary for the Hospice and Homehealth department at Richland Memorial Hospital. Deloris loved to collect antiques, especially dishes, coins and cookbooks. She loved spending time buying antique furniture, fixing it up and reselling it.

grandchildren; Eric (Keli) Williams of Houston, Texas, Shawn (Amber) Jared of Olney, Illinois,
Lucas (Elizabeth) Williams of Decatur, Illinois, Cole (Liz) Williams of Lawrenceville, Illinois,
Adam Alvis of Tampa, Florida
great-grandchildren; Kalei (Blake) Berry of Olney, Illinois, Bentlee (Sierra) Jared of Evansville, Indiana, London Williams of Houston, Texas, Lincoln Williams of Decatur ,Illinois, Zoe Williams of Decatur, Illinois and Kaison Williams of Lawrenceville, Illinois.

Deloris is preceded in death by her loving husband Loren, parents Earl and Martha King, brothers Ray and Eddie (Della) King, and grandson Justin Alvis.
