Dennis Lee Ryker, age 77 of Olney, passed away at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana at 10:17 PM on Saturday, December 14th, 2013.
Graveside services will be held in the Chapel at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont on Wednesday, December 18th, 2013 at 1:00 PM. Reverend Gary Wachtel will be officiating and the Richland County Veterans Organization will be conducting military rites at the service.
He was born on October 3rd, 1936 the son of Raymond and Neenah (Culver) Ryker.
Dennis served 10 years in the United States Army and was a Vietnam Veteran. He also worked in the oil fields. He was a member of the American Legion and VFW Posts in Olney. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife Mary, four sons Dennis Ryker II from San Antonio, Texas, Randy Ryker from Lawrenceville, Jack Richey from Olney and Wayne Richey from Olney; two daughters, Kathy Guzman from San Antonio, Texas and Patty Jordan from Federal Way, Washington; four brothers, James Arends from DeKalb, Dean Ryker, and wife Dianne from Washington, Garry Ryker, and wife Janet from Olney, and Roger Ryker, and wife Tina from Indiana; two sisters, Deloris Blackford and husband Wayne, from Olney and Arlene Shephard from Texas, and several grandchildren
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Neenah Ryker, two sisters, Helen Davis and Margaret Weber, and one infant brother.
Memorials can be made to American Legion post 30 in Olney.
