Mr. Donald Richard Bland, age 80
Of Greenup, IL passed away at 1:15 PM – Sunday, October 30, 2011 at
St. Anthony's Memorial Hospital in Effingham, IL.
Private family services will be held. Arrangements are under the care of Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup, IL.
Donald was born on July 22, 1931 the son of Oakley and Anis (McMillian) Bland.
Donald served his country in the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict.
He married June Cox on June 18, 1983 and she survives.
Donald worked as a loader operator at the Casey Rock Quarry for many years. He was a member of the #841 Operating Engineers Local Union of Terre Haute, IN and a member of the Jewett Community Church.

2 Children Taresa (Lonnie) Barnes of Greenup, IL
John Cox of Greenup, IL
5 Grandchildren- Sierra Cox, Dylan Cox, Erica Barnes, Coty Barnes and Niki Barnes.
3 Great Grandchildren
Brothers- Gerald Bland of Greenup, IL and Vern (Shelia) Bland of Casey, IL
Donald was preceded in death by his parents; 4 brothers Bill, Bob, Doyt and Jim "Little Red" Bland and a sister Emogene Lewis.
