Donald Eugene Boldrey, age 77

of Dieterich, IL passed away at 2:10 PM – Sunday, May 25, 2014 at his home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM – Thursday, May 29, 2014 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Mike Elliott officiating. Burial will be in the Mound Cemetery in rural Willow Hill, IL. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM – Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, IL.

Donald was born on August 13, 1936 in Hunt City, IL the son of Arlie and Opal (Eirhart) Boldrey. He married Dansel Winterrowd on November 16, 1968 and she survives.

Donald retired from the David C. Cook Publishing Company in Elgin, IL after 25 years of service. He was a Christian by faith and was an avid John Wayne fan.

Donald is survived by: Wife of 45 years – Dansel Boldrey of Dieterich, IL 2 Children – Richard Boldrey of Tuscon, AZ and LeeAnn Boldrey of Dieterich, IL Granddaughter – Kayla Harnden of Dieterich, IL Great Granddaughter – Brylee Dawn Tuttle of Dieterich, IL

Donald was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Francis, Kenneth and Melvin Boldrey.
