Doris Hoecherl, age 80
of Willow Hill, IL passed from this life to her eternal home at 10:00 AM - Monday, January 13, 2014 at
Decatur Memorial Hospital in Decatur, IL surrounded by the love of her family.

Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM – Saturday, January 18, 2014 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, IL with Fr. Mike Haag celebrating mass. Burial will be in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Ste. Marie, IL. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM – Friday, January 17, 2014 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton and ½ hour before the mass at the church.
In loving memory of Doris memorials may be made to Ste. Marie Post #932 American Legion for Veterans.

Doris was born on March 17, 1933 in New Castle, Indiana the daughter of Charles and Audrey (Steinson) Staley.
She married Fred Hoecherl on October 24, 1959 in Robinson, IL and he preceded her in death on March 19, 1999.
Doris was a devoted farmer's wife and mother. She enjoyed crafting, reading, cooking for her family especially baking, working outside and gardening.
She was always there for her family and friends.
She was a member of St. Mary's of the Assumption Catholic Church and the Ladies Auxiliary of St. Marie Post #932 American Legion.

Daughters – Teresa Hoecherl of West Union, IL
and Mary Hoecherl of Willow Hill, IL
Grandson – Josh Bobbitt of Willow Hill, IL
Brothers – Charles (Carolyn) Staley of Casey, IL and Delmar (Carolyn) Staley of Mahomet, IL

Doris was preceded in death by her parents, husband and 4 brothers Ralph Staley, Vic Staley, Russell Staley,
Paul Staley and an infant sister.
