Doris Mary (Myers) Rogers, age 84, of Olney, passed away at 3:04 PM on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney.

Funeral Service will be at 11 AM on Friday, September 1, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Olney. Visitation will be 30 minutes before the service. Burial will be at Haven Hill Memorial Gardens in Olney. Father Mark Stec will be officiating.

Doris was born on July 2, 1933 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania the daughter of Leslie J. and Harriet (Lego) Myers. She later married Michael L. Rogers on December 29, 1978 in Vincennes, Indiana. He preceded her in death on July 1, 2014.

She worked as a book keeper for A&P Foods in Pennsylvania and also Burgin Manor in Olney. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church. A saying that she lived by was to do at least one good thing for someone else every day. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Doris is survived by her sister Harriet "Bunny" (Myers) Waddell of Pennsylvania; niece Pegi Christinzio and husband John of Pennsylvania; great-niece Paula and her son Stephen of Pennsylvania; 2 grandchildren Leslie and Ashley VanDerzee; friend Kim Fehrenbacher and her children Cooper and Molly; and many other nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her husband Michael L. Rogers, parents Leslie J. and Harriet Myers, 3 sons Thomas, Edward, and James VanDerzee, 3 brothers and 3 sisters.
