Doris Jean Swinson, age 79, of Noble, Illinois, passed away at 12:40 PM – Thursday, February 22, 2024,
in Evansville, Indiana.

There will be a visitation for family and friends on Wednesday Evening, February 28 from 5:00 PM to7 :00 PM at the Meyer Funeral Home in Olney.  Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, February 29, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois.
Entombment will follow in Crest Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Rural Claremont, Illinois.
Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Olney, Illinois.

Doris was born on August 4, 1944, the daughter of Jesse and Mary (Campbell) Daniels.
Doris married the love of her life Rex Swinson, Jr on May 28, 1983 and he survives.

Doris was a long-time member of the First Christian Church of Noble. She worked as a clerk for the Health Department in the WIC office, where she loved holding and caring for babies.  She spent a lot of her free time researching her family's genealogy and also loved making items with the Plastic Canvas.

Doris is survived by her husband Rex Swinson of 40 years of Noble, Illinois
Daughter; Doretta (Randy) Sherman of Allendale, Illinois

Step-daughter; Kristi Swinson of Noble, Illinois

Brothers; John Woods, Sam Woods, Micky Woods

Sisters; Shirley Whyde, Nancy Smith, Kay Hodge, Netta Revelet, Brenda Hodge

Grandchildren Hilda and T.J. and 5 Great-Grandchildren.

Doris is preceded in death by her parents and brothers Pat Woods and Joe Woods.
