Dorothy Margaret Beam, age 92, passed away at 12:30 PM - Sunday, April 12, 2020, at Newton Care Center in Newton, Illinois.
Private family services will be held with burial in the Brick Cemetery in rural Newton, Illinois. In loving memory of Dorothy, memorials may be made to the Central Christian Church. Dorothy was born on May 20, 1927, in Bloomington, Illinois, the daughter of Cecil Ray and Harriet Marie (Hovey) Wigall. She married Laurence Edward Beam on December 15, 1945, in Dieterich, Illinois, and he preceded her in death July 14, 2015.
Dorothy graduated in 1945, from Newton Community High School. She was a homemaker and loving wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Newton and the Newton Women's Club.
Dorothy enjoyed crocheting and working puzzles.

Children – Larry (Becky) Beam of Hastings, Nebraska; Garry (Beverly) Beam of Newton, Illinois; and Margaret (Marion) Ochs of Newton, Illinois
Sister – Mary Elyn Ragsdale of Wheeler, Illinois
Grandchildren – Danee (Randy) Ebling, Rich (Sheila) Coleman, Stefaine (Charles) Dahm, Kevin Ochs, Heith (Tina) Beam, Delores Wilson, Rodney (Michelle) Ochs, Ryan (Sheila) Beam, Cody (Sara) Beam, Greg Adams, Derek Adams and Kayla (Michael) Pierce
