Dorothy Flaviana Fisher, age 91
Of Newton, IL passed away at 5:34 AM - Thursday, August 18, 2011 at
Lakeland Rehabilitation and Health Care Center in Effingham, IL.
Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM – Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, IL with Fr. Al Kemme celebrating mass. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Newton, IL. Visitation will be held 5:00-7:00 PM – Friday, August 26, 2011 at the church and ½ hour before the mass. In loving moving memory of Dorothy, memorials may be made to the St. Thomas Catholic Church Building Fund.
Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home Newton, IL.
Dorothy was born February 17, 1920 in Jasper County the daughter of Francis Joseph and Margaret Gertrude (Shelly) Ochs. She married Ferdinand John Fisher on June 26, 1939 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church in Ste. Marie, IL and he preceded her in death on May 19, 1979. Dorothy was a homemaker and cook. She was a member of the St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church and the St. Thomas the Apostle Alter Society.

Sisters: Viola McDaniel of Vancover, WA, Zita Thoreson of Dieterich, IL and Mary Harris of Naples, FL.
8 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren also survive.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
