Edna Ruth Weber, age 96

Of Wakefield, Illinois passed away at 4:45 PM – Wednesday, December 31, 2014

at Gowin Parc in Mattoon, Illinois.

Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM – Saturday, January 3, 2015 at

Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, Illinois with Fr. Mark Stec celebrating mass.

Burial will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery.

Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM – Friday, January 2, 2015 at the church and 1 hour before the mass.

In loving memory of Ruth, memorials may be made to the family's wishes.

Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.

Edna Ruth was born on August 23, 1918 in Jasper County, Illinois the daughter of Ed and Pearl (Dorn) Fehrenbacher. She married Eugene C. Weber on June 29, 1940 at
St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois and he preceded her in death on October 28, 1995. Ruth was a homemaker and farmers wife.
She enjoyed cooking, playing cards, dancing and helping others. Ruth's great joy was baking cookies for all to enjoy.
She loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

Ruth was a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church in Wendelin, Illinois.

Ruth is survived by-

3 Children- Marilyn R. Zumbahlen of Newton, Illinois

Jane (Harold) Vahling of Mattoon, Illinois

Wayne (Ellen) Weber of Wakefield, Illinois

Daughter-in-law- Paula Weber of Olney, Illinois

Brother- Henry Fehrenbacher of Olney, Illinois

Sister-in-law- Margaret Fehrenbacher of Olney, Illinois

Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Alice Brackett, son Larry Weber, son-in-law Art Zumbahlen and
4 brothers Steve, Floyd, Danny and Phillip Fehrenbacher.
