Edward C. Lindsey, 75, of Xenia, passed away at 10:50 PM on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at VA Illiana Health Care Systems in Danville.
Private family Celebration of Life service is being set for a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded.
Edward was born on September 14, 1946 the son of Kin and Sarah (Mosby) Lindsey.
He was in the United States Army during the Vietnam War as a radio man. He worked as a trucker driver and mechanic for several years. He was a member of the Flora VFW. He enjoyed hanging with his grandkids, working on cars, watching movies, baking, making burgers and fries, building things and growing new types of plants.
Edward is survived by his partner in life through marriage and divorce Linda C. Lindsey of Flora; 2 daughters Melissa Lindsey-Priester (Brian) of Olney and Dawn Martinko (Dan) of Chicago; 2 sons Lawrence Silanskis (Yolanda) of Los Angeles and Michael Silanskis of Kokomo, IN; 2 brothers James 'Skip' Lindsey of California and Larry Lindsey of Xenia; 10 grandchildren Mackenzie Bissey (Chase), Elizabeth Lindsey, Dominique Webster (Cody), Nathan Martinko, Addison Martinko, Jonathan Silanskis, Ariana Silanskis, Cody Mackovitch, Brandon Silanskis, and Liam Silanskis; and 2 great-grandchildren Elinor Bissey and Carlie Webster.
He is preceded in death by his parents Kin and Sarah Lindsey.
