Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Frohning, age 77
Elizabeth Jane "Betty" Frohning, Illinois, passed away at 10:15 AM - Friday, November 11, 2016, at Richland Memorial Hospital in Olney, Illinois.
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:30 AM – Wednesday, November 16, 2016, at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, Illinois, with Fr. Dean Probst celebrating mass. Burial will be in the Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Newton, Illinois. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM –Tuesday, November 15, 2016, at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois, and ½ hour before mass in church. In loving memory of Betty, memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Research Foundation.
Elizabeth Jane, better known as Betty was born on July 12, 1939, in Hammond, Indiana, the daughter of Hubert E. and Scholastica M. (Rennier) Seiler. She married Leroy Frohning, on June 3, 1961, at St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Stringtown, Illinois.
Betty was a homemaker, wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, Altar Society and Jasper County Home Extension.
Betty enjoyed crocheting, quilting, sewing, gardening and collecting angels.
Betty is survived by:
Husband of 55 years – Leroy Frohning of Newton, Illinois
Daughters – Linda (William) Clinton of Newton, Illinois, Teresa (Kevin) Ochs of Ste. Marie, Illinois, Cheryl (David) Matson of Newton, Illinois, Sandy (Roy Allen) Dhom of Newton, Illinois and Leanne (Benjamin) Keller of Ste. Marie, Illinois.
Grandchildren – Will, Miranda and Michelle Clinton, Emily (John) Uebinger, Curtis (Danielle) Ochs, Cole Ochs, Shelby (Jared) Wagner, Kim, Kyle, Cody and Kate Dhom, Veronica and Trevor Keller.
Great Grandchildren – Daniel and Logan Uebinger and Rhett Ochs
Sister – Ruth (Ron) Doll of Greeley, Colorado
Brothers – John (Hermine) Seiler of Charleston, South Carolina, George Seiler of Mattoon, Illinois and Carl (Debra) Seiler of Dundas, Illinois.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents.
