Ellen M. Aldridge, age 95

August 30, 1925 – April 11, 2021

Ellen M. Aldridge, age 95, of Newton, Illinois, and a former resident of Champaign, Illinois, passed away at 9:30 PM – Sunday, April 11, 2021, at her home.

Ellen was born on August 30, 1925, in Fox Township, Jasper County, Illinois, the daughter of Ralph and Alta Edith (Hall) Aldridge.  She attended the one room Maple Grove School in rural Jasper County.

Ellen managed Fannie Mae Candy in Champaign, Illinois, for several years.  She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary in Urbana.

She enjoyed crocheting, traveling and living on the family farm where she enjoyed the fruits of the family's labor especially the tomatoes.

Daughters – Georgia (husband Roger) Carter of Newton, Illinois

Robin (husband Ralph) Smalley of Champaign, Illinois

Ellen was preceded in death her parents, sister Edith Hix and an infant brother.
