Elvera (Rubin) Koch, age 92, of Olney, passed away at 6:23 AM on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

Funeral service will be at 2 PM on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time. Pastor Tim Bursott will be officiating. Entombment will follow.

Elvera was born on March 7, 1925, in Fayette County, the daughter of Carl and Linda (Torbeck) Rubin. She later married Clarence W. Koch on November 23, 1946. He preceded her in death.

She worked at Koch Drive-In for many years. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church in Olney. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

Elvera is survived by her daughter Nancy Stangle of Olney; 2 brothers, Harold Rubin of Centralia and Melvin Rubin of Decatur; 4 grandchildren Brian Stangle, Julie Workman, Tony Mattoon (Anna), Jason Mattoon; 5 great-grandchildren, Kevin Stangle, Austin Childers, Amber Nunn, Aaron Mattoon and Hailee Stangle; and 3 great-great grandchildren, Calesta Stangle, Sophia Nunn, and Delilah Childers.

She is preceded in death by her husband Clarence W. Koch, parents Carl and Linda Rubin, and daughter Patsy Mattoon.
