Essie Faye Green, 93, of Olney, IL., went to be with her Lord at 1:38 AM, Friday, February 8th, 2013, at Burgin Manor in Olney.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, Saturday, February 16th, at the First United Methodist Church in Olney. Funeral services will also be held at the First United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM, with Reverend Scott Carlson Officiating. Burial will be Haven Hill Cemetery in Olney.
Essie was born November 13th, 1919, in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the daughter of Perry and Julia Marie (Taylor) York. She married Charles D. Green. He preceded her in death in 2005. Essie grew up in St. Louis, MO., but considered Olney her home, having moved there in 1945.
Essie is survived by her daughter, Barbara Saul of Olney; son Charles V. Green, and his wife Kay of Roswell, GA., stepson Raymond Green, and his wife Helen of Lawrenceville, IL., grandchildren, Beth Bicklein, and her husband Jim of Waterloo, IL., Becca Hubbard, and her husband Cort of Columbia, IL., Brian Saul, of St. Louis, MO., Christin Cundiff, and her husband Rodney, of San Antonio, TX., Susan Dotson, and her husband Jonathan of Cummins, Ga., Michelle Connor, and her husband Steve of California City, CA., Rob Greene, and his wife Maureen of Carpenterville, IL., and Scott Greene, and his wife Michelle of St, Paul, MN., and 12 great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church.
