Evangeline Rein Wenthe, age 1 month, infant daughter of Cailin Faith Kent and Jay Lee Wenthe of Newton, Illinois, passed away at 10:49 AM – Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at her home.

Private family services will be held with internment in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, Illinois.  In loving memory of Evangeline, memorials may be made to the Meyer Funeral Home, 307 W Jourdan Street Newton, Illinois 62448.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com.

Evangeline was born on August 22, 2025, at Crawford Memorial Hospital, the daughter of Cailin Faith Kent and Jay Lee Wenthe.  She weighed 4 pounds 3 ounces and was 17 inches long.  She loved to listen to music and watch the ceiling fan spin.
