Mrs. Florence Dale (Bishop) Strain, age 100
of Greenup, IL passed away at 8:00 AM - Thursday, November 28, 2013 at Cumberland Rehab and Health Care in Greenup, IL.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM – Tuesday, December 3, 2013 at the Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup, IL with Rev. Tim Pearce officiating. Burial will be in the Greenup Cemetery in Greenup, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service.

Florence was born on November 30, 1912 in Oblong, IL the daughter of William A. and Anna (Osborn)
Bishop. She married Leo "Shorty" Strain on December 31, 1932 and he preceded her in death on April 12, 1994.
Florence was a homemaker and loving mother.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Greenup, United Methodist Women, Rebekah Lodge, Cumberland County Home Extension and the Monday club.
Florence had been a Sunday school teacher and served as an election judge till she was in her 80's.
Florence is survived by:
3 Children – Dorothy VanDyke McDonald of Sedona, AZ
James Eric Strain of Terre Haute, IN
Terry Leo Strain of Waukee, IA
6 Grandchildren 13 Great Grandchildren Several Great Great Grandchildren
Florence was preceded in death by her parents, 6 brothers and 5 sisters.
