Mr. Forest Dean Neidigh, age 99
Of Greenup, IL passed away at 3:45 AM – Thursday, July 21, 2011 at Cumberland Rehab & Health Care.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM – Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Greenup Cemetery Greenup, IL with Rev. Mike Haag officiating. Visitation will be held 9:00 – 9:45 AM on Saturday, July 23, 2011 at the Bishop Funeral Home in Greenup, IL. Memorials may be made to the Cumberland Rehab & Health Care.
Forest was born January 19, 1912 in Lukin Township, Lawrence County Illinois the son of Claude Samuel and Viola Bell (Chester) Neidigh. He married Dorothy Jane Gosnell and she preceded him in death in 1982.
Forest served his country in the US Navy during World War II. He was a life-long carpenter and enjoyed woodworking.
He is survived by son John Neidigh of Greenup, IL; daughters Laura (James) Carpenter of Greenup, IL and Mary Jane (Bruce) Fiscus of Lawrenceburg, IN; 8 Grandchildren; 9 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great Grandchild.
Preceding him death were his parents, wife and a sister Thelma Coffee.
