Mr. Fred Eugene Staley, age 89 Of Newton, IL passed away at 9:40 PM – Sunday, June 24, 2012 at Newton Rest Haven in Newton, IL. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM – Sunday, July 1, 2012 at the Falmouth Church of Christ near Falmouth, IL with Bro. Ron Mulvey officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Cemetery near Falmouth, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service in the church. The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.blakefh.com. Fred was born on January 26, 1923 on the family farm near Falmouth, IL the son of George Benjamin and Belle (Stone) Staley. He married Marjorie Marie Lancaster on January 12, 1942 and she preceded him in death on December 22, 2006.
Fred was a lifelong farmer and was longtime member of the Falmouth Church of Christ. He enjoyed woodworking and was very mechanically inclined. He loved to hunt and fish.
