Garrett Lee Lingafelter, age 27

of Wheeler, Illinois passed away at 2:21 AM – Sunday, July 19, 2015 at Carle Foundation Hospital in Urbana, Illinois.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM – Friday, July 24, 2015 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Dieterich, Illinois with Cord Bear officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery near Latona, Illinois. Visitation will be held 5:00-8:00 PM – Thursday, July 23, 2015 at the funeral home. In loving memory of Garrett, memorials may be made to the family.

Garrett was born on February 23, 1988 in Effingham, Illinois the son of Troy Dean and Barbara Sue (Bower) Lingafelter.
Garrett was a graduate of the Class of 2006 at Newton Community High School. He was employed at John Boos and Company in Effingham, Illinois.
Garrett was a member of the Carpenters Local Union #243. He enjoyed 4 wheeler riding, fishing, and visiting with family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews.

Sister – Lindsey Lingafelter of Newton, Illinois
Nieces – Jasilyn Lingafelter and Hayden Welch
Nephews – Luke Shadle and Eli Welch
He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.


Garrett was preceded in death by his grandfather Larry Lingafelter.
