Obituary
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 AM – Saturday, September 14, 2013 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Newton, IL with Fr. Aloysius Okey Ndeanaefo celebrating mass. Burial will be in the Brooks Cemetery in rural Newton, IL. Visitation will be held 2 hours prior to the service at the church. In loving memory of Gene, memorials may be made to the Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church or St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church. Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL.
Gene was born September 6, 1942 in Casey, IL the son of Bernard "Ben" and Marjorie Evelyn (Warren) Huber.
He married Nancy Highgate on August 12, 1993.
Gene worked for the Jasper County School District for over 30 years. He enjoyed working and helping others.
He was a member of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Oblong, IL.
