Geneva Fern (Badgley) Mason, age 96 of Olney passed away at 12:40 AM on Friday, December 13, 2019 at Carle Richland Memorial in Olney.

Funeral service will be at 12 PM (NOON) on Monday, December 16, 2019 in the chapel of Thrasher Family Funeral Home. Visitation will be two hours prior to service time. Burial will be at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Claremont with Pastor Brett Wright officiating.

Geneva was born on February 9, 1923 in Grand Chain, IL, the daughter of Thomas and Mary Elizabeth (Trumbo) Badgley. She married Lowell Mason on August 16, 1941 in St. Charles, MO. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1993.

She was a co-owner of Christian Supply Store with her husband for many years. She was Christian by faith and enjoyed playing solitaire, reading books, doing embroidery and crocheting. She especially enjoyed spending time with her family. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends, and all who knew her.

She is survived by her son Jesse Mason (Tina) of Pontiac, IL; 5 daughters, Ann Reiser (Bob) of Charlotte, NC, Carol Bunting of Olney, Lora Bemont (Larry) of Lincoln, IL, Anita Caulfield (Bill) of Olney and Ellen Bastian (Roger) of Olney; daughter-in-law Linda Mason of Kingman, IN; sister-in-law Mable Badgley of Marshall, TX; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Geneva is preceded in death by her husband Lowell Mason, parents Thomas and Mary Elizabeth Badgley, son Roy Dean Mason, brother Everett Badgley, grandson Brandon Mason and many brother and sister-in-laws. The family also wanted to include a special thank-you to Geneva's family of caregivers on the 3rd floor of Carle Richland Memorial Hospital, Dr. Devenecia, and Dr. Reid for the excellent care they provided for their mother over the last several years.
