Geneva J. Kurtz, age 92

November 25, 1929 – March 10, 2022

Geneva J. Kurtz, age 92, of Olney, Illinois, passed away at 2:00 AM – Thursday, March 10, 2022, Helia Healthcare of Newton, Illinois.

Private family services will be held.  Burial will be in the Ebenezer Cemetery south of Olney, Illinois.  In loving memory of Geneva, memorials may be made to the Ebenezer Cemetery.  Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.  The obituary can be viewed and condolences left at www.meyerfh.com .

Geneva was born on November 25, 1929, in Allendale, Illinois, the daughter of Marshall and Printha (Keneipp) Stoltz.  She married James Oliver Kurtz on November 15, 1959, and he preceded her in death on December 16, 2006.

Geneva was a homemaker, loving wife, mother and grandmother.  She was a member of Scott Avenue Christian Church in Newton, Illinois.

Geneva enjoyed making ceramics and spending time with her family and friends.

Geneva is survived by:

Children – Bob (Misty) Kurtz of Newton, Illinois; Dale (Deena) Kurtz of Mt Carmel, Illinois; Shirley Kurtz and Carolyn Kurtz both of Newton, Illinois.

Grandchildren – Aaron (Kara) Kurtz of Newton, Illinois and Kashtyn (Tyler) Shull of Hidalgo, Illinois

Great Grandchildren – Noah Kurtz, Micah Kurtz, Oliver Shull and Case Shull

Geneva was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Robert Stoltz and sister Kathleen Witsman.
