Genevieve F. Bunton, age 81
Of Newton, IL passed away at 7:37 AM – Saturday, March 16, 2013 at Evergreen Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Effingham, IL.
Funeral services celebrating Genevieve's life will be held at 2:00 PM – Friday, March 22, 2013 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Bill Wilkerson officiating. Burial will be in the Chapel Cemetery near Falmouth, IL. Visitation will be held 1 hour before the service. In loving memory of Genevieve, memorials may be made to the Jasper County Cancer Fund P.O. Genevieve was born on March 24, 1931 in Effingham, IL the daughter of Elmer and Bertha (James) French. She married Glennard Bunton on June 30, 1949 and he preceded her in death on November 24, 2010.
Genevieve was a homemaker, loving mother and grandmother. She was a member of the Wheeler Christian Church and enjoyed gardening.
Genevieve is survived by:
3 sons – Michael (Diane) Bunton of Newton, IL
Randall (Barb) Bunton of Dundas, IL
Jimmy (Fiancé Linnie Charlton) Bunton of Hammond, IN
Daughter-in-Law – Glenda Bunton of Newton, IL
Brother –Basil French of Decatur, IL
Sister – Irma Lee (Ray) Ferguson of Newton, IL
7 Grandchildren – Holly (Chad) Farley, Evan (Ashley) Bunton, Merissa (Matt) Brown, Elizabeth Bunton, Marsha Schuster, Dale (Crystal) Bunton, Kris Bunton.
11 Great Grandchildren – Cole, Ross and Luke Farley, David, Kelly and Payton Schuster, Owen and Kaylee Bunton, Tyler, Brooke and Austin Bunton.
Genevieve was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son David Bunton,
grandson Garrett Bunton and a sister Freda Wetherholt.
