George D. Tabb, age 81
Of Robinson, IL passed away at 8:43 AM – Monday, June 9, 2014 at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, IN.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM – Thursday, June 12, 2014 at the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Van McQueen officiating. Burial will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Newton, IL.
Visitation will be held 2 hours before the service. In loving memory of George, memorials may be made to the donor's choice.

George was born on December 17, 1932 in Newton, IL the son of John D. and Gladys (Foltz) Tabb. He married Joann Rusk of Noble, IL on September 29, 1957 and she survives.
George was a barber in Newton for many years and had owned and operated a Laundromat and dry cleaner in Robinson.
George was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Newton, IL and enjoyed spending time with his family.
George is survived by:
Wife of 56 years – Joann Tabb of Robinson, IL
2 Children – Dan (wife Helen) Tabb of Edwardsville, IL
Carrie (husband Scot) Wolf of Peoria, IL
3 Grandchildren – Caroline Tabb of Terre Haute, IN;
Carly (husband Chad) Scott of Montreal, Canada and
Christine (husband Donnie) Mattingly of Washington, IN
2 Great Grandchildren – Emily and Ellysa Mattingly of Washington, IN
2 Sisters – Shirley (husband Tom) Jester of Jewett, IL
Lois (husband Bob) Mackey of West Terre Haute, IN
Brother-in-Law – Van McQueen of Newton, IL
Sister-in-Law – Mildred Tabb of Arcola, IL
George was preceded in death by his parents, sister Dorothy McQueen and brother John R. Tabb.
