Glen Arthur Clark, age 69
of Newton, Illinois passed away at 10:33 PM – Monday, October 5, 2015 at his home.
Funeral services celebrating Glen's life will be held at 11:00 AM – Wednesday, October 14, 2015 at Central Christian Church in Newton, Illinois with Mike Knepper, Gary Hall and Dale Hood officiating. Burial will be in the Redford Cemetery in rural Newton, Illinois with full military rites. Visitation will be held 4:00-7:00 PM – Tuesday, October 13, 2015 at the church. In loving memory of Glen, memorials may be made to the Jasper County Cancer Fund or Crossroads Cancer Center. Arrangements are under the care of the Meyer Funeral Home in Newton, Illinois.
Glen was born on February 25, 1946 in Rome, Italy the son of Paul and Paola (Ortis) Clark. He married Connie Jones on February 24, 1968 in Robinson, Illinois and she survives.
Glen served his country in the United States Army from 1966 until 1969 serving a tour in Vietnam.
Glen owned and operated Clark Tractor Sales in Newton for many years. In 1999 he sold the business to Midwest Tractor and continued to work in the parts department until his health forced him to retire in 2013.
Glen was a strong Christian and a faithful member of Central Christian Church in Newton where he loved to share Word of the Lord by teaching Sunday school. Glen loved his family and took pride in their accomplishments and treasured his time spent with his grandchildren. He especially enjoyed the warm months when he could be working in his garden, doing yard work and getting his Christmas trees ready for the holiday season.

Wife of 47 years – Connie Clark of Newton, Illinois Children – Jennifer (Delane) Frichtl of Newton, Illinois Andy (Katy) Clark of Peoria, Illinois
Grandchildren – Brady Frichtl, Camilla Frichtl, Holden Clark and Noah Clark
Sisters – Deanna Hollis of Wentzville, Missouri and Geneva (Don) Clark of Newton, Illinois
Sister-in-laws – Adrian Jones of Seneca, Illinois and Kathy Jones of Florrisant, Missouri
Glen was preceded in death by his parents, Mother and Father-in-law Ruth and Chester Jones; brother-in-laws Frank Hollis, Lee Jones and Rod Jones.
