Mr. Wayne Sparks, age 77
of rural Newton, IL passed away at 5:35 AM - Wednesday, December 28, 2011 at his home.
Funeral Services celebrating Wayne's life will be held at 10:30 AM – Saturday, December 31, 2011 at the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL with Nate Hagan officiating. Burial will be in the Trexler Cemetery in Rural Newton, IL. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 PM Friday, December 30, 2011 at the funeral home. In loving memory of Wayne, memorials may be made to the Local Cancer Fund. Arrangements are under the care of the Blake-Buchanan Funeral Home in Newton, IL. Harold Wayne Sparks better known as Wayne was born on May 6, 1934 in Jasper County, IL the son of Raymond Ellis and Bertha Ann (Cox) Sparks. He married Joyce E. Bickers on May 8, 1952 and she preceded him in death on January 6, 2001. He then married Ruth Croy on January 8, 2002 and she survives.
Wayne was a lifelong farmer that enjoyed dancing, riding horses and working with metal and wood.
Wayne was a member of the Central Christian Church.
