Helen L. (Atkisson) Price, age 92, of Olney, formerly of West Liberty, passed away on Sunday, November 1, 2015 at Burgin Manor in Olney.

Private family service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites will be accorded.

She was born on May 17, 1923 in Clay City, the daughter of Eugene and Maggie (Fry) Atkisson.

Helen was a hairdresser out of her home for over 30 years.  She was Methodist by faith. She was also a member of the Newton Library Book Club. She enjoyed sewing and quilting. She will be sadly missed by her family, friends and all who knew her.

She is survived by son Leo Thompson and wife Judy of Weatherford, Texas; 4 daughters, Donna Keen of Mattoon, Glenda Truitt and husband Ted of Plainfield, Indiana, Peggy Jausel and husband Russell of Olney and Ruth Furry and husband Keith of Mattoon; 10 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Eugene and Maggie Atkisson, 1 son Morris Strother, 3 brothers Leo, Edward and Leland Atkisson, 1 sister Faye Atkisson Huffman, and grandson Patrick Elie.
